Contemplation, deep dives, and windsongs

“Let there be peace on Earth
and let it begin with me…”

This has been a week of rest, of intentional laziness, and a week of prayer.

I have been asking myself a lot of questions, why’s and what fors in this past week of contemplation, deep personal introspection, napping dreams, and even an adventure into the quantum multiverse.

Turns out that when I took a tumble, my body became the sole (soul) center of my thoughts. I have been rethinking how I am moving in the world. My body has become my compass, pointing me in the direction of least resistance as I remember to let go and release, to allow the energy of me to flow with more ease.

I have been operating one step ahead, trying to keep up and even outdo my last accomplishment. Turns out when I am looking two or three steps ahead of where I am now, second guessing that outcome to be, has been the easiest way to miss what is right in front of me, like that simple little step that led to a tumble.

After several days of forced rest, anti-inflammatories, aspirin, arnica and magnawaves, I have been gifted lots of time to think about where I have been and where I want to go.

Running away to find my way doesn’t work short term or in the long game. It does give one a different perspective and when necessary, a boot in the caboose.

This evening while I am writing to you, I am more in the moment now, paying attention to each little detail in my day and being so grateful for the time I have to recuperate, rejuvenate, and remember me.

If you find yourself tensing up in the shoulders, with knots in your neck, perhaps a backache or a headache, what is your body trying to tell you?

Are you blocking the flow of your own energy, exhausting yourself by exerting more effort and finding you are getting less done? Is your body (your sole/soul center), your higher self, reminding you it is better to let go, release, go with the flow, planned and unplanned?

I spent forced time in quiet this week and was gifted the songs of the wind as the weather changes and I leave my office door open to the cooler breeze and the voice of the cottonwood tree reminding me that this is a process to breathe through. A dear friend posted a reminder to me this week to breathe (thank you Patrick Pinson) and another old friend showed me a new way to delve into me and release, renew, and recapture that vision of the dream that is playing out before me.

This week I am letting go of my idea of what that perfect outcome should be and allowing that the Divine in me knows better than I do, how it will all come together for my/our highest good.

It’s time to make that appointment for the massage my hubby gifted me for my birthday last June. It is my time to relax and let life’s energy flow through my body, mind, heart, and soul, freely, effortlessly, and with peace and harmony.

As the world has been reminding us this week, we never know when it could all change…

“…Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow…
To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally
Let there be peace on Earth
And let it begin with me”
~Jill Jackson-Miller and Sy Miller

May peace be with you..
