AZ was amazing this past week… I was in the water almost every day and wish I could take our little pool here, home with me. There was time with hubby and then time for me here alone.
I met up with old friends and new ones, ate at old favorites and new restaurants. I soaked up the sun and languished in the stillness that lives all around me here.
It was in this sacred stillness that I began to see and feel colors… colors of me and colors of my voice.
Imagine for a moment that your inner voice doesn’t just speak in words. Can you imagine that it hums with color, vibration, and feeling.
Could each thought be a whisper from within. Do you think it is possible that they could have a tone to them, a texture, or a hue?
When I am drifting in the water, I think I “see” them sometimes as the soft pastels of comfort and peace. Other times they burn bright with urgency, edged in red or orange. Some are soft, shadowy blues and grays, not so much scary, simply there to be heard.
When I say to you, “Listen to the colors of your voice,” I’m inviting you to go beyond logic and language to sense a truth, that your body, your mind, and your spirit are always in conversation. Your inner voice, call it intuition, soul, or just an inner knowing, has its own beautiful color palette.
It speaks not just to your thoughts in words, but to your very cells. When you really listen, not just with your ears, but with your heart or from your sacred garden, you might begin to feel where you could be out of tune, out of alignment, off-colored or even fragmented.
It is in this deep inner listening that you open a doorway to your own sacred healing journey.
When you think about “making your body whole again.” It is not about being perfect. It’s about a reunion. It’s about calling in all the lost parts of yourself that may have drifted away or been stolen by an action(s), an accident(s), or some deep trauma(s) you experienced.
I’m now talking about the voices of those pieces of your soul that were silenced, dismissed, or forgotten. Is the color of your thoughts now in the sound of your words, asking you to bring back into wholeness, those parts of you that are waiting for you to reclaim them?
Sometimes the voice inside us doesn’t speak in words at all. It speaks in symbols, in colors, in feelings that shimmer just beneath the surface of thought. That voice isn’t interested in your to-do list or your expectations of yourself or others. It’s only interested in your truth; the raw, radiant, and real truth of you.
When you listen to the colors of your inner voice, you stop forcing clarity. You begin feeling it. Your body remembers what your mind may have forgotten either on purpose or for safety. It remembers that wholeness is not a destination but rather a coming home to you.
Each color within you has something to say. The aching gray may be asking for rest. The fiery red may be calling you back to passion and creativity. The turquoise edge of wonder might be reminding you of joy.
To make your body whole again is not to fix what’s broken, you aren’t. It is to allow space for all the colors of your soul to return. Breathe them in, listen deeply. Give them a seat at the table of your becoming.
This is not just a sacred task, it is a devotion meant just for you, written by you.
So today, ask yourself:
- What color is my voice right now?
- And what would happen if I listened… without trying to change it?
Perhaps it is time to start listening deeper, seeing the colors of your thoughts and feelings and through authentic presence, reach out to those soul fragments floating about the stars and invite them back to you.
It is all just a process of sacred remembering. Who knows, this gentle beginning could be the start of your return to wholeness of self through the colorful and brilliant senses of your soul.
Set your palette free.
