On this rainy day after Christmas morning, I write to you all filled with the power of gratitude. I am thankful for another year, for family still here, and for the magic of everyday blessings.
I am filled with optimism looking into the coming year with hope and faith, with curiosity and excitement. I am grateful for the people in my life, for the joy that fuels my creativity and keeps me writing, I am most grateful for my husband who still shops and feeds me when I get lost in my world of words.
I am grateful for the teachings that are held in the depths of grief and the clarity that comes with looking deep into the recesses of my own heart. I am grateful for the song of my soul that I am able to hear in those quiet moments before the day speeds up and the noise levels rise to distraction.
I am looking forward to 2026 even as I reflect on 2025. Reflections lead to the imagining all the possibilities that lie ahead as I can let go of any lingering “stuff” that doesn’t need to be carried into the new year.
Gratitude gifts me the opportunity to not only give thanks for what I have and have accomplished, but also for the amazing people in my life, and the beauty that surrounds and blesses me with its presence. It also gives me the opportunity to focus on how I can be the best steward of the abundance I am blessed with; family, friends, faith, finances, and fun. I am working on the last ‘f’ word, fitness.
I am truly blessed and grateful to all those who have paved this road I walk and for this path I have chosen. Walking a path of heart means having an appreciation for all life, not just in this present moment, but for the ancestors who have shown us the way and gifted us with the stewardship of the sacred wisdom they have shared with us.
Walking with gratitude is not just counting our blessings. It is a continuous and intentional practice of paying attention and appreciating the small and simple things, the beauty all around us, and acknowledging the abundance already here and that which is on its way.
When I am truly thankful for what I already have and content with all that is, it is enough, I am enough. We are, each, and every one of us, enough in our own divine expression of the One, God/Goddess, Creator of All that Is, and We are enough.
