Changing Times

Changing times

Autumn is here and Fall is upon us in many parts of the country. Here in CA, it still feels like the tail end of summer with the days back up in the nineties. The poor plants and trees here don’t know whether to drop their leaves or sprout new ones, the nights not chilly enough to remind them that this is their changing time as well.

Across our dear planet, change is everywhere, moving in the cycle of Her own rhythms, the Earth reminding us of her control, not ours. Societies across our planet are changing, many destructive and others shining a light on a new era of hope.

Fall brings us that time of gathering, of harvesting all that we have “planted” in our lives, nurtured into existence, and now gather for the bounty of our bodies, inspiration for our minds, and solace for the seeking soul. It is a time of gathering all the beauty that has been sown and blossomed throughout our year.

It is a time of sharing and gathering in community, and it is a time of change, of letting go and remembering so that you may plant new thoughts to dream through the hibernation of the coming winter.

Fall is the season when you look for understanding and for discernment as you gather what has served you in all that you have accomplished. It is also a time for letting go of those things that are holding you back from manifesting the dream that is planted in the depths of your heart.

It is time to stand in the center of your own truth, not hang out on the edges of it as though just an observer in your world. Be present in the center of your own experience and look into the reflections that come back to you from every aspect of your life.

My dear teacher Lynn would tell you, “Find the truth as you see it to be, and make your own decisions and your choices, based on that truth.”

Based on YOUR Truth… don’t let the voices of others dictate the decisions you want to make. Research, investigate, listen, and discern the voice of your own truth and live by it, with it, and for it.

Through these changing times, the changing seasons of your life, there is a great potential to find good for yourself and for the world around you. It begins with you. When you reflect goodness, kindness, and caring out into your world, what comes back to you is much the same. As you sow, so shall you reap, right?

Let me remind you that:

  • You can be fearless in the face of change
  • Generous with your heart, not just your pocketbook
  • Gracious in your caring and kindness
  • Creative beyond your own imagination

And

  • Capable of shaping your own destiny

Stand in the center of your own truth, pick up the mantle of your dream, take responsibility for your life, and celebrate All of You; not just what you have done, are doing, or plan to do. Celebrate Your dream, who You are and who You are becoming.

May the fall colors brighten your days, the cooler waves move you gently towards the center of you, and may these “slowing down” days, these shorter days and longer nights, begin to wrap you into and reveal the dream you are preparing to gift the world in the coming year.

Remember as you test the truth of you against the truth of others, that #YouMatter, #ChooseYouFirst, #YouHaveARightToBeHappy.

Many bountiful blessings!
