Intuition, Stillness, and Alignment

Could Stars be Words

It is darkest when the new moon arrives, silent, still, invisible. The sky, filled with stars twinkling like a light show put on by the universe (or a machine pointed at the sky.) It feels like I could be staring at a blank page, if it weren’t for all the “lights.”

I wonder sometimes if those stars could be words flying about waiting for someone to round them up into sentences.

I reach out and catch the one that feels closest and hold it tight in the palm of my hand. I know it will fly off to another’s paper if I am not careful. Gently I open my fist, one finger at a time, staring intensely for that moment when the word will be visible before it flies back to the sky.

For a breathless instant it lingers, that star-word, shimmering like a tiny winged thing made of light and longing. I watch it settle in front of me, testing the air between my heart and my page, deciding whether I am ready for what it wants to say. Words are like that you know, half-wild, half-willing, choosing us as much as we choose them.

I hold still, softer than stillness itself, and wait for that quiet flicker of recognition when the word realizes it has found its true home. Only then do I lean in, cupping it gently with both hands, inviting it to stay long enough to shape itself into a beginning, a sentence, a truth I didn’t know I was waiting to write.

Trust your intuition, what word did you “see” when my palms began to unfold and it revealed itself? Don’t edit, just say or write it in this moment, now.

The new moon offers you an opportunity to begin again, to listen in this new cycle. In the darkness pregnant with unshaped possibilities, where desires haven’t yet taken form, is a place where your spirit can stretch without the weight of expectations. It is in this womb of renewal that your quiet longings gather strength to walk the path ahead.

There is healing here in the stillness of this place, staring up at a starlit sky. You don’t have to have all the answers, just slow down long enough to ask yourself: “What is whispering for my attention? What is calling from the quiet corners of my heart? What truth is ready to rise with this word when I release my hold on it?”

Consider these questions at this time of the new moon. As it’s light begins to emerge from the darkened sky, it carries with it the pulse of possibility. Can you hear it knocking at your door?

Sit with the quiet knowing that every dream, every healing, every spark of transformation starts the moment you turn inward and trust that as you walk in alignment with your true self, the stars will gift you a plethora of wisdom in words.

May the energy of this new moon find you jumping across thresholds into new dreams and exciting things.
