I’ve Been Thinking…

7.14.23 meme I've been thinking...

Every week I wonder if I will have a story to share with you all. Most weeks I have no idea what to write and I just sit here looking at this blank page. Inspiration comes from so many places… a sticky tab on my computer monitor, looking at little graphics I have been gifted and taped all over my desktop, or the lyrics of a song playing in the background that suddenly jump out and grab my attention.

“Give Love, Get Love”

“Life Can Be Tough, But So Can You”

“Letting Go Taps Into Flow”

“As Long As I Live, I Am Always Growing”

“Open To Unexpected Moments Of Inspiration” is a favorite and fits right in with, I guess, where this story wants to go today.

Awareness is a key, becoming more conscious of where we are, what we are doing, and what we are thinking.

I ask myself as I am writing this if I am here wholeheartedly or is my mind tracking where the dog is, watching my husband water the fruit trees, listening to the familiar chords of a commercial playing in the other room, or feeling my tush get numb because I have been sitting too long as I contemplate writing all this to you.

Welcome to my mind, not always a peaceful and quiet place. It’s busy, multitasking, restless and sometimes exhausting. Oh yeah, where was I?

I read in an issue of Spirituality+Health Magazine that one of the first things we need to realize is that our minds are totally untamed. Amen to that one!

How often I sit down or take off with one intent only to find myself in a completely different place, down a rabbit hole, or on a completely random trail I’d never thought to explore.

So, giving credit where credit and appreciation are due, I must say thank you to my wild and chaotic mind. It is the journey of creativity. I am learning to honor it; it’s driving momentum and imagination. Thank you “Vicki mind” for pushing me out beyond, further than, over another hill or stream.

Where will you let your mind take you in this next week?

Will you go along willingly, unconsciously or with conviction and trust?

What lies deep in your heart that is pushing its way out through the recesses of your creative, chaotic, always busy, and bustling mind?

When our heart is challenged by the madness of our minds, it can be a struggle. Can you imagine the journey of your heart from conception to reception (from the spark that ignited you to your return to Source?)

Our hearts are so much stronger than I think we give them credit for and yet they are so easily bruised and often “broken” by life and living. They are so tender as to be moved to tears by the sound of a child’s laughter and so fragile that they break just a wee bit by a harsh word or words spoken in anger, by betrayal, and by losses we encounter (big and small). And, despite all it encounters and endures, our hearts carry on. Love will mend the cracks and broken places. Love you whole-heartedly!

Maria Shriver wrote in her newsletter many weeks ago about the anniversary of Amelia Earhart’s transatlantic flight (my great-grandmother’s maiden name was Earhart, maybe that’s why I like to “fly” metaphorically speaking). 😊 Amelia, to quote Maria, “saw in herself something magical, something groundbreaking, something brave, and went for it! She didn’t give into fear. She didn’t let her mind dissuade her from doing something that had never been done by a woman. She let her mind take her there.”

Bravery through and through, body, mind, heart, and soul.

Have you touched your purpose, fed your passion, and engaged a plan for living whole-heartedly? If not, why?

Do you have a dream? What is it and what is the path you will take (are taking) to achieve it?

Gratitude is a gateway, hope is the doorknob, faith is your guide. Let your intuition and imagination fuel your journey and live whole-heartedly!
