I am filled with anticipation as I look forward to 2023.
My questing heart is curious, contemplative, and a bit concerned that I might not take off on the right foot or find the right direction to go. That is probably why I have incorporated the lessons from the Act of Power by Lynn Andrews and developed a ritual/ceremony for myself to move into the energy of what I want to manifest in the coming year.
I know that 2023 is holding a very raw and real vibration of new possibility and that the old ways, the way it has always been done, are fading and changing right before my eyes. I want to be ready. I want to have my tools lined up and be prepared for whatever comes my way, be it opportunity or a challenge that presents me with an opportunity.
What I absolutely know for sure, is that there are people, things, old stuff, and bad habits that will likely be roadblocks into the year I dream for me. Can you see that ahead of you as well?
I once read that recognition is the first step in creating change. To examine what works and what doesn’t, and what we can do to change what hasn’t, into what does. We all have the ability to live our dreams. Do you believe in a God that would give you a dream and not the ability to manifest it?
In all that I have studied, the one thing I have come to believe is that the Universe wants us to achieve our hearts’ desires, but we need to be very clear about what they are and what it will take to make them come true.
My plan is to spend the next couple of weeks moving into “me” and seeking the council of my own “wise one” and all of the benevolent ones that are always near to whisper in my ear. I will journal what I “hear”, what I discern for myself, what I determine no longer needs to be a part of my new year, and begin to visualize, dream, and stalk what I want to learn, write, deliver, design, develop, enjoy, create, and manifest as joy in my life in 2023.
Big challenge, eh? It is a journey I have taken with friends, with council circles, with myself alone. I have done ceremony in the backyard, or on a hillside, by a lake, even on the tailgate of my SUV in the rain. Every time it was an opportunity for me to leave behind what slows me down or stops me dead in my tracks. It is a time to reflect forward and not dwell in what is done.
I look forward to these times (often more than once a year). They are the times when I can be most honest with myself and get real about where I am and where I want to go.
This year I want to go to Ireland for my nephews wedding and then be a tourist. I haven’t done anything like that in ages and I’m aging, so when is the time going to be any better?
In the next year or two I want to teach with my friends in Canada, I want to gather in circle with my friends in Australia, I want to return to the amazing places I have been blessed to teach in the past and bring new stories, teachings, and creativity to those circles and more.
