You didn’t arrive on this earth empty-handed. The day you were born, you came bearing gifts, sacred offerings inherent in the person you would become. Some you were born with, unique specialties etched into your soul’s design like tiny embers waiting to be remembered, to be ignited by your heart’s desires.
Others you have shaped with your intention, and through lived experiences honed by time, teachers, trials and tribulations, and your very willingness to grow. All of them, yes, all, have the potential to bring much needed light, beauty, healing, and wonder into our world.
Have you tucked your gifts away, minimized their worth or compared them to someone else’s? Do you wonder if what you have to offer is enough? Is it enough to matter, to help, to even be seen?
Truth is as I have come to know it, the world doesn’t need a perfect version of you. It needs the truest authentic You. The one who writes with heart, who listens as sacred witness, who dares to dream and create and love with depth. Your gifts are not here to be measured; they are yours to be shared.
When you use your gifts with love and authenticity, you become a living blessing, someone whose presence makes a difference, whether you realize it or not.
A kind word, a handmade meal, a beautifully told story, a listening ear…these are not small things. They are acts of sacred offering. They ripple out, often farther than you’ll ever know.
This week I have slept a lot, and I mean for an insomniac like me, I have snuggled in earlier than usual and slept through cool, quiet mornings as I dream the end of this cardiac drama I have lived, and look forward to the procedure next week my amazing rhythm doc feels will “cure” the issue.
I’d love to claim the hours of endless sleep as an escape (like it has been in the past), but this time, it is my body’s reaction to the meds I must take for just another week. It is a challenge to find the energy to complete projects when there is more knocking on my door. I am super stoked and excited to continue growing my gift, my library of written words.
My newest adventure, the identity (a freebie) and introduction of our “Good Enemies” is complete and being uploaded into its eBook version as I type. I finally have a publication date… NEXT FRIDAY 5.23.25, “Introducing the Gifts of Our Good Enemies: Reframing the Challenges and Frustrations We All Encounter” will hit the market.
I hope you find some of my words a blessing in your day. They are a gift to me in their writing and the sharing of them as the process keeps me grounded and centered and let’s face it, I love to talk. Lynn told me I’m a storyteller and it took me a long time to figure out that she didn’t mean I talk too much, which was one of those limiting beliefs I grew up with, she meant I was a storyteller. A gift of words from her I will always cherish.
I encourage you to Give what you’ve been given. Express what stirs in your spirit. Trust that your gifts are needed, not later, but now. Each time you choose to show up with your whole heart, the universe finds a way to use you for good. GET it?
The joy that comes from living this way is not about recognition or applause. It’s the soul-deep satisfaction of knowing you are living what you came here to live. You are becoming who you were born to be, authentically and truthfully you.
You are the gift the world is waiting for.
💥 Watch in next week’s Food for Thought for the Link to purchase my new eBook – making its debut on the 23rd. It will be on sale for just 99 cents for the rest of May. There is a link inside the eBook for a free copy of Identifying Your Good Enemies.
