The Way You See the World Shapes Your Reality

The Way You See the World Shapes Your Reality

The Way You See the World Shapes Your RealityWatching TV the other night, a minister was talking to a patient who was not happy to be stuck in a hospital at that moment in time. He told Alec, “Sometimes I like to think about sickness or whatever has brought you to this place, as a visit from a Saint. St. Illness”…aka (St-illness).

I laughed and then realized that this was one of those Godwink moments divinely sent to remind me that I am not very good with stillness and this new knee that has brought me to my knees so to speak, may be God’s way of making me practice.

Another good reminder that the way I see the world shapes my reality. I have been focused on pain and frustration instead of gratitude and healing. I’m choosing to do a little mindset reset and see this new challenge as an old teacher returned with new lessons. I’ll remind myself that the setbacks that come with healing are just steppingstones on this path to a stronger body.

Even as I write the words to you all today, I can feel a sense of empowerment and possibility returning.

Today I choose to shift my perspective and instead of focusing on what feels difficult and painful, I will look for the lesson or opportunity (like stillness) that it holds.

In the stillness of this quiet afternoon, in a world that tells me to keep moving, to stay busy, to push through, I hear the whispers of wisdom blowing in through an open door

“In stillness, the whispers of wisdom are loudest,” I hear in that quiet soft voice that comes through in those moments when stillness finds me. “Pause, listen, and trust what your soul reveals.”

I hope you can take a moment today to sit in silence. Breathe deeply and allow your inner wisdom to guide you, it knows the way.

Every chapter in this life holds value and even the moments that feel like detours are part of this sacred path we walk. Today I honor the journey, not just for where I am going, but for where I have been and all the experience (good and not so good) that have shaped who I am today.

Each step, smooth or rugged, is a reminder that every moment is a blessing and every lesson a gift guiding me closer to my destination.
