Where Has This Year Gone?

Where Has This Year Gone?

Can you believe it’s September?  Yikes, where has this year gone?  The pumpkins are growing, and the leaves are changing color, thinking about the end of their season with the trees (except here in central CA where we are back in triple digit temperatures).  In my mind, the trees must get really confused by the huge temperature swings and then I remember it is the Light (or less of it) that triggers their release and not so much the temperature.  If you are in the Southern Hemisphere, nature is awakening around you as Spring begins to pop out all around and the leaves are once again returning to the trees, green on green, as the Light grows.

We are fast approaching the seasons of harvest or the time of planting. It’s time to reap what we’ve sown and plan what we want to reap in the coming months. It is time to gather in and prepare for a quieter, slower time ahead or stretch and move and prepare to jump into the growing season ahead.

As we approach the Fall Equinox, that time of the year when we experience a balancing of light and dark, of sunshine and starlight, what might you do for YOU to celebrate this beautiful time of the year?  What can you do to put YOU FIRST in your days to come, to ignite the fires of inspiration for the coming season and to plan with purpose, for the rest of this year?  Will you be planting or harvesting, looking within, or spreading your wings?  Will you allow yourself to move into this season of change, gather and share your gifts or plant new ones for the world to relish?  Celebrate the new season by putting YOU FIRST and ignite your heart’s desire.  Finish this year with a bang!

I know in this moment that my goal is to celebrate the Equinox with the completion of the books. I can’t tell you how much your beautiful words of encouragement and support have meant to me these past couple of weeks.  Giving you all permission to hold me accountable for my dream has re-ignited a flame that was fast becoming an ember as the whole, beyond the writing process, began to bog down my energy and inspiration.

I am filled with gratitude for the ‘boost’ that is propelling me on to completion.  Writing these little Friday morsels to you, wherever you are, is keeping my candle burning brightly.  Sharing my process and offering you the vulnerable side of it all, has given me direction and a flow that was missing.  I am excited to show up for you each week and the joy that flows back from you all feeds that journey  reminding me of a quote by Norm Kelly, “You can’t pour from an empty cup.  Take care of yourself first.”  Thank you all for helping me remember to practice what I preach (hehe) and to keep on keepin’ on.

Let’s finish 2021 with a BANG, not a whimper… WE ALL deserve it!

Pushin’ On,
Vicki
