It has been an amazing, challenging, exhausting, exhilarating, and an all-around marvelous week.
Last Friday, the last thing I did was to release any expectations I may have had for the Write with the Whispers in the Wind weekend and I opened my heart to flexibility and flow.
How grateful I am that those words found their way to the page and buried themselves in my psyche and soul.
I was challenged by pond scum, mosquito larvae, finicky air conditioning, and road construction. Ha! Quite a combo for a writing journey, eh? Oh, but we had the perfect gathering!
What I discovered in it all was the abundance of teachers the Universe has placed in our world when we are open to receiving the messages that blow through on the whispers in the wind, from the flickering flames, and from all the rocks, birds, cactus, trees, the wind, and sun, our gracious ancestors, starlit nights and the sound of a little waterfall running over ancient rocks… clear, cool water.
Each one of the moments that caught my breath in anxious wonder or grateful accomplishment, were teachers in every way.
This was my first live event since 2017 and every situation conspired to teach me exactly what I needed to learn to grow and move forward with the next gathering and the one after that… Yep! There will be more!
This week Daily Om posted a perfect reflection of my current journey. “All the situations in our lives, from the insignificant to the major, conspire to teach us exactly what we need to be learning at any given time. Patience, compassion, perseverance, honesty, letting go – these are all covered in the classroom of our lives.”

Vicki is also an Artist of the Spirit Certified Spiritual and Energetic Life Coach, a Graduate Mentor in the AoS program and a founding member of HeatherAsh Amara’s Warrior Goddess Leadership Team and Facilitator of the Warrior Heart Practice.
