Writing Creativity Nudge To Move

Writing Creativity Nudge to Move

Writing Creativity

Many of you know that I have been writing – a LOT – this past year.  It gets overwhelming and frustrating at times.  There is so much more to this writer’s journey than putting words on paper, it’s a freaking job if you let it be, or want it to be.  I was called to write a book and then another jumped in front of the first one and a third keeps poking it’s energy into the mix.  Which to listen to, what to write, I need food, where’s my Diet Coke?

This writing gig is often self-driven, but I am finding as I let go of my own expectations for this journey, that the words that make it on to the paper are often divined rather than driven.  “Creativity is the Self searching for itself,” said George Gamez, Ph.D., author of How to Catch Lightning in a Bottle. Writing is a unique and very dynamic form of creativity that expresses our unique visions and perceptions.

When I get bogged down in the mundane “busy-ness” of this new gig, Writing for Me, that I have embraced, I am constantly reminded (thank you to my watch) that I must move, to get up out of my writer’s chair and do something off screen; to hand write something, to record whatever pops into my head, to lay down and close my eyes, or to walk about and breathe, listen and just be.

What do you do when you have been too busy at something and you feel that “nudge” to move along, to get up and do something different?  Where does your mind go, your body, your heart and your soul?

How can you practice creatively challenging yourself to stay in tune with you, your focus and your intent, to stay intentionally present on your journey?

I’d love to hear from you; what you do, what you are challenged by or where you “go” when there is too “much” where you are.  Reply and fill me in.  Let’s share this journey.

Writing on ya’ all, see you on the next page.

Many blessings…
