Imagine waking up to the sounds of quail and doves chatting about their morning seeds. Looking out your window, you gaze across the expanse of hills, rocks, and cactus that are welcoming the rising sun in a cascade of vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows rising into the bluing sky.
You could be waking up at the Hampton Inn in Carefree or Spur Cross Bed and Breakfast in Cave Creek. A friend once stayed in a barns tack room that had been converted into a studio apartment. Will you have breakfast at Local Johnny’s, the Village Café and Crepery or maybe at First Watch?
Wake up, fuel up and gather together your pads and pens, your journal or your laptop and head to the house in Desert Foothills North on Rancho Tierra Drive. It is only a ten-to-fifteen-minute drive from all the places above.

You will be welcomed to “Rancho Tierra,” a beautiful ranch style home nestled on over an acre of land surrounded by the saguaro and mesquite trees, a myriad of cactus varieties, little boulders, and rock waterways.
Inside is a spacious gathering area adorned with comfy furniture, paintings, metal art and books, with crystals and stones in every nook and cranny.
Outside is a small, heated if needed play pool and pergola with ceiling fan and lights. There is an outside kitchen, a small reflection pond with waterfall and a firepit. Two separate patio areas for outside writing or crafting and plenty of “space beyond the fence” for the wandering writer.
Come and Write with the Whispers in the Wind, the songs of the water gently flowing over stones, the soft voice of a dancing palo verde, or the fierce yet gentle words from the fire. Create a piece of sacred art, a clay pot to hold the story of your weekend, a vessel for remembering when you forget your words.

I’m Vicki Dobbs and I will be your hostess for the weekend. I am an author, an artist, a teacher and a guide. I am a connoisseur of creativity and the founder of Wisdom Evolution. I bring over 50 years of business experience, coaching, and mentorship into my spiritual practice, books, and workshops.
For the past two decades, I have been helping women to define themselves and find a balance between who they are and what they do. I open existential gateways through which individuals can face their challenges as opportunities and live every day empowered by the voice of their own truths.
Let me tell you about this opportunity you have to come and play with me in this experiential weekend using sacred art and writing as your tools for transformation and self-discovery.
About the Weekend Retreat Schedule
Our weekend will begin after lunch on Friday afternoon May 31st at 2:00 pm AZ (mtn) time. We will wrap up around six and head out to dinner either all together or on your own.
You will leave with a morning write to get your creative juices flowing before coming back in circle on Saturday morning at 10:00 am. Lunch will be available at the house and as the day progresses you will have ample “free time” to write with the elementals or curl up in a comfy chair somewhere.
Materials will be laid out for you to create your sacred art; a clay bowl that will hold the spirit of your words and the journey you will take over the weekend. There will be paint, crystals, stones, and beads for you to decorate with or bring your own if you have something special that calls to you to be a part of this writing journey.
We will adjourn on Saturday evening around six and again head out to dinner together or on your own. You may choose to take your art project with you and work on it Sat. night or continue to work on any writing that is coming up for you to complete.
For those who want to work with the fire, you are invited back to the house after dinner to spend some time with an evening fire, maybe a marshmallow roast, and write with the flames as they dance before you.
Our Sunday schedule will again begin at 10:00 am with plans to wrap up by 3:00 with lunch provided at the house.
What Does it Include?
Our weekend will include two morning writes, a guided visualization designed to take you off your ordinary train of thought and offer you an opportunity to meet ‘new’ teachers and guides, and to tune in to the voice of your authentic truth. There will be sharing and reading and a sonic driven shamanic journey to take you from where you are to where you want to go. Your written words and your sacred clay pot will be witness to the completion of your weekend as we close our circle and depart.
This will be a small, intimate gathering of kindred spirits and space is limited to just ten (10) participants so REGISTER early and save your place in the circle.
